No. 126 - Winter Evening, Tickhill, Yorkshire; 14" x 18"; acrylic on canvas

Tickhill in South Yorkshire is located south of Doncaster and is one of a couple of pretty small towns in the area. As a resident, I spend a lot of time walking around the village and enjoying the atmosphere.

This scene is from the duck pond looking towards St. Mary’s Church, which is famous for its four-hourly chimes. I was able to capture this scene after one of the few snow falls in recent years. The sunset is actually taken from one of my large collection that I photograph whenever I see a good one.
